What is the difference between RE/MAX offices?
Each office is independently owned and operated, although they all report to RE/MAX-RD. The difference between the offices is the size, location, and the touch that each Broker/Owner gives to their office. Some may vary in office fees.
What is RE/MAX RD and what is the difference between it and the offices?
RE/MAX-RD is the parent company in Dominican Republic. It has the right to sell franchises and develop the business in the country. RE/MAX RD today consolidates all initiatives and becomes the leading company in the real estate sector in number of properties, number of sales, franchises developed, ethics and service. All offices in the country report to RE/MAX-RD and are governed by its guidelines.
Can I join without sales experience?
Yes. RE/MAX provides all the tools and training for anyone to be a successful Realtor.
How much does RE/MAX pay me?
RE/MAX agents work as independent contractors. RE/MAX does not pay salaries to its agents, as they are not employees. The agents' income comes from commissions on sales, rentals or mortgage referrals.
How does the commission scheme work when I sell or rent a property?
Each transaction has two parts: the acquisition and the sale. Generally, the total commission for a transaction is 5% of the value of the property in the case of a sale; and one month's rent in the case of a rental. That 5% or that month's rent is divided as follows: 50% to the listing agent (who has the property listed) and 50% to the agent who has the buyer client.
How much money will I earn inside RE/MAX?
Our agents are the most productive in the market, however, we cannot guarantee an income. The real estate business is very lucrative and there are no profit limits, as long as you dedicate the necessary time and focus to the business.
Why do I have to pay to be in RE/MAX?
The entire platform and infrastructure that RE/MAX offers, as well as the brand, has a cost. This fee helps us to sustain the business and keep innovating to offer more services to our agents.
What is the difference between commission splits?
Within each commission split the Agent keeps the established percentage, either higher or lower. The more commission the agent receives, the higher the monthly fee.
What is the difference between a senior associate and a junior associate?
A Senior or Junior Associate is a full-time real estate professional who, having signed an independent contractor agreement with the company, attracts, markets, sells, rents and/or manages third party properties through a dynamic activity in the real estate market, which allows prospecting owners and clients, guaranteeing an excellent service that offers competitive alternatives that are attractive to them. The Senior Associate works independently and reports directly to the office. A Junior Associate works as a Realtor within a team. The team leader is in charge of training, coaching and guiding the Junior Associate throughout the sales process, from the moment he/she joins the brand. In return, the Junior Associate shares his or her commission with the Team Leader. The team leader is in charge of reporting to the office for the Junior Associate.
What is the difference between the regional quota and the office quota?
The regional fee is a fee charged by RE/MAX-RD to each real estate agent. The office fee is the fee charged by RE/MAX Metropolitana to maintain the infrastructure.
Can I change from junior associate to senior associate?
Yes, as long as you have the approval of your team leader and management.
Can I change my equipment after logging in?
Yes, as long as it has the approval of both team leaders.
Do I have to produce a minimum amount of commissions to stay with the brand?
Yes, each plan has a minimum amount of commissions to be produced. This is taken into account from the second year, when the agent already has knowledge of the business within the brand.
What happens if I don't sell in a month?
It's okay. Each negotiation takes time to close, and an agent may have several negotiations in process in one month and close them in the next month.
Does RE/MAX give me the properties to sell?
Occasionally it may happen that the office provides agents with properties, whether they come in through the promotions we run or through calls to the front desk. However, each agent must make his or her own recruitments.
Can I promote and sell other agents' properties?
One of the advantages RE/MAX offers is that all agents have access to the entire inventory, and all can promote and sell the properties of other colleagues. This dynamic generates more business opportunities. Also, all agents can have their website/domain with their name.com linked to RE/MAX-RD systems and platforms. This allows all the properties that are listed on the website to appear with the agent's own profile. (The Associate Agent must pay for the domain purchase and/or linking service).
Do I have to keep a work schedule?
No, each agent is independent and dedicates the time he/she considers to the business, either from the office or from home.
